Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2026

1. Introduction

OMIE is a marketing intelligence operating system operated by OMIE Technologies (“OMIE,” “we,” “us”). These Terms govern your access to and use of the OMIE service at askomie.ai, the omieOS browser extension, the omieOS Desktop app, and the omieOS Mobile app. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

2. Account Terms

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use OMIE.
  • You must provide accurate and current information when creating your account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
  • One account per person. Agency accounts may be organized with multiple clients under a single owner.
  • You must notify us promptly at support@askomie.ai if you discover any unauthorized use of your account.

3. Service Description

OMIE provides a layered operating system for marketing work:

  • Intelligence. Continuous market, competitor, and platform signals processed against your company context.
  • Content generation. Long- and short-form content written in your voice.
  • Screen execution. Autonomous agents that operate web surfaces you have authorized, acting on your behalf.
  • Experimentation and measurement. Hypothesis tracking, result-feedback loops, and self-evolving intelligence.

OMIE acts on your behalf only for tasks you confirm or routines you schedule. You control what OMIE can do and on which surfaces.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use OMIE to:

  • Engage in any illegal activity or violate the rights of others.
  • Send unsolicited commercial messages (spam) of any kind.
  • Access third-party services you are not authorized to use.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the OMIE service or attempt to circumvent security controls.
  • Resell or white-label OMIE without a signed agreement.

OMIE executes only on surfaces you explicitly authorize. You are responsible for ensuring your use of each connected service complies with that service's own terms.

5. Screen Execution and Browser Automation

OMIE operates web surfaces (Gmail, LinkedIn, Google Ads, etc.) on your behalf through browser automation. When you connect a surface, the omieOS browser extension captures the session cookies required to operate that surface and stores them encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM. Credentials are used only to execute tasks you or OMIE's autonomous layer initiate. You can revoke any surface at any time from Settings → Integrations; revoked credentials are removed from active use immediately.

6. SMS / Messaging Terms

OMIE sends SMS messages to users who explicitly opt in via Settings → Messaging. Message types include:

  • Task confirmations and execution results.
  • Intelligence alerts and experiment outcomes.
  • Routine notifications (scheduled tasks that OMIE ran on your behalf).
  • Support and account-status updates.

Message frequency varies based on your usage and the tasks you run. Standard message and data rates may apply, charged by your wireless carrier. Reply STOP to any OMIE message to unsubscribe. Reply HELP for support instructions. OMIE will not share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes.

7. iMessage Integration

For users who enable iMessage integration, OMIE monitors the Messages.app on the Mac you have authorized. OMIE processes messages sent to OMIE directly (as commands or chat) and does not read or transmit messages exchanged between you and other contacts. Message history is never forwarded, stored externally, or used for training. You can disable iMessage integration at any time from the omieOS Desktop app.

8. Data and Privacy

OMIE collects business context you provide during onboarding and data from integrations you connect. Company data is isolated at the database layer using row-level security. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture of what we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.

9. Bring Your Own Key (BYOK)

You may provide your own API keys for third-party services (Anthropic, OpenAI, etc.) through the BYOK settings. Your keys are encrypted with AES-256-GCM and used only to authorize requests on your behalf. OMIE never stores API keys in plaintext and never uses your keys for any purpose beyond executing your tasks.

10. Intellectual Property

Your content is yours. Content that OMIE generates for you — blog posts, briefs, campaigns, replies — belongs to you. You may use, modify, and publish it without restriction.

The OMIE service itself, including its codebase, intelligence architecture, agent orchestration, and brand, is proprietary to OMIE Technologies. These Terms do not transfer any rights in the OMIE platform to you.

11. Limitation of Liability

The OMIE service is provided “as is” during the founding member period. To the fullest extent permitted by law, OMIE Technologies and its affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, arising from or related to your use of OMIE. Our total liability for any claim related to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

12. Termination

You may cancel your account at any time from Settings → Account. We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms or for non-payment. You may request a full export of your data before cancellation. After cancellation, your data is retained for up to 30 days to allow recovery, then permanently deleted.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of OMIE after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
